Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

Click on the questions below to find your answer.

1. How will I know when your bridge page gets in the top ten? We will send you a monthly update of how our bridge pages are doing.   It will show you a list of your selected keywords or phrases and how where they are listed on the targeted search engines.    (Back to top)
2. What if the bridge page disappears from the search engine? Search engines do have a habit of losing pages occasionally.  Normally they re-appear the next time the spider visits.  We will be monitoring such occurrences and will immediately re-submit the page.  (Back to top)
3. What is a bridge page anyway? We design a page which has a unique link to your page.  The page does not have to look pretty and be full of slow moving graphics. We know how each of the major search engines work and can design a page which will be indexed highly by each of the search engines.  The bridge page sits on our server but points to your site. (Back to top)
4. Are bridge pages considered spam? The only time a bridge page is considered spam is if there were many identical pages from the same site, with the same keywords, trying to block out your competition.
Spamming an index is normally when a designer tries to direct traffic to his site with keywords or phrase which do not apply to that site. eg. A keyword which is in the news such as Monica Lewinsky is used when  the page has nothing to do with her. (Back to top)
5. What if I do not pay for your services even though the invoice is justified? We would hope that this will never happen but our contingency plan is as follows:- We delete the page from our server and you do not get the traffic from it.   Anyone accessing the entry from a search engine would get a 404 page not found error.  (Back to top)
6. What if I do not wish to continue in subsequent years? See above. (Back to top)
7. How long does it take for   your bridge pages appear on the search engines? The search engines vary in the time they take to index and it depends when the next spider visit is due.  normally within 4 or 5 weeks all the pages should be active.  You only pay when we send you notification that a page has appeared on the search engines.(Back to top)
8. How many of my competitors will also be using your service? The names of our customers is confidential but we limit our services to 5 customers chasing a specific keyword or phrase.   We do this to avoid blocking out other web page owners and setting ourselves up as spamming the index.(Back to top)
9. Why is Yahoo not on your list of search engines? Yahoo is not a search engine.  It is an index.  To be listed on Yahoo you have to make a special request by filling in a form at their web site.    But there's good news here too. Just as soon as you become our customer we will send you a "How to" document which outlines the methods to use to get your page listed highly in Yahoo.  We will even look at your page and tell you of any changes we would recommend before submission.  Currently only 10% of applications to Yahoo are successful.  Mostly because of poor content or HTML errors.    Even if you pay the new special fee for a quick response, Yahoo will not guarantee a listing.(Back to top)
10. How do I pay for this service? At the time you fill in the our secure order form you will be asked to give use a credit card.  We will only bill your credit card when the page appears and you will be notified prior to each billing transaction.    Remember, you are better protected by credit card transactions.  If you do not agree with the charge you can stop payment.(Back to top)
11. How does your secure order form protect my credit card and personal information? When you have entered your search requirements on the form and you click the submit button you will get a browser warning telling you that you are entering a secure area.   Your computer then requests an encryption routine from our secure server.  You then fill in the your personal details. At this time all your information is STILL ON YOUR OWN MACHINE.   Only when you are ready to send the information is it encrypted for the transmission to our secure server.   Our server is the only machine which can read the encrypted message.  (It's a lot more secure than giving your card to a waiter!) (Back to top)
12. What do I do if I still do not trust the encryption of the secure server? You can call us toll free 1 877 266 3532 to give us your details.
